Silicone is a one-component coating that will cure at ambient temperatures. It is designed for excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates and has excellent resistance to weathering. Silicone retains its elastic properties in temperatures ranging from sub zero to over 300 degrees. It provides excellent protection for both new and existing roofing applications.
Silicone coatings have all the positive properties of elastomeric coatings as noted above with one important additional benefit - Silicone coatings last far longer than elastomeric coatings of the same thickness! On average, silicone coatings do not need to be recoated for seven to ten years.
